​Hi, I am Rudi, the Gelato Master!

I have to be honest here... I don't come from a family gelato background, but I have a huuuugggeeee passion for gelato!

I studied and learned the art of making gelato in Italy 
I am from the north-east of Italy, a small town called "Pertegada", near Lignano Beach, on the Adriatic Sea. 
​
​This area has much tourism from all over Italy and Europe, especially during the spring-summer seasons, and people love Italian gelato because artisans make it fresh every day using quality ingredients.
I worked in a dear friend's gelato shop, Brunzin Gelateria, and gained lots of experience before moving to Australia.

I opened Matilda The Art Of Gelato 6 years ago, in a little gem suburb called Wynnum, in the bayside of Brisbane, with the help of my partner and our two beautiful little daughters.
